This is a running narrative of our current D&D Campaign set in the world of Eberron. This is a custom campaign written by me, using the 3.5 edition rules. Our group meets in Santa Monica on alternate Sunday evenings (usually) and a standard session is about 5 hours.
I'll be attempting to transcribe the adventures here into a story, but though I am the GM, the tale will be told by all those involved. It is a collaboration between the heroes and myself, as they decide how to deal (or avoid) the challenges I present to them. I can only hope that the game sessions will be translated into a compelling narrative here.
This is our first campaign together. All of the characters begin at 4th level for the first part of the campaign. The concept is to play an epic game, but I wanted to start with a low-level portion to let the players get acclimated to their characters and to get a feel for the basic rule set.
We will soon "flash-forward" to more than 10 years into the future, where the real campaign starts and the characters will be advanced to 17th level.
Whether this will be as cool as it sounds in my head is yet to be seen.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
